Amidst the negative movement of the U.S. stock indexes, several companies declared their future dividend plans. Some notable dividend payers are discussed here. Citigroup Inc. (NYSE: C) has declared a dividend of 1 cent per share, payable on June 17, 2011. This is the first dividend declaration by the company is two years. Shares were down 1.23 percent, or 52 cents, to trade at $41.90. Shares of Holly Corp. (NYSE: HOC) added 2.15 percent, or $1.21, to trade at $57.37 as the company declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 15 cents per share. The dividend is payable on July 1, 2011 to shareholders of record on June 21, 2011. AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC) shares fell 0.94 percent, or 40 cents, to trade at $42.04 despite increasing its quarterly dividend by 15 percent to $0.115 per share. The dividend is payable on June 6, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 24, 2011. Parkway Properties Inc. (NYSE: PKY) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.075 per share, payable on June 29, 2011 to shareholders of record on June 15, 2011. Shares fell 0.77 percent, or 14 cents, to trade at $18.06. Delphi Financial Group, Inc. (NYSE: DFG) lost 1.86, or 47 cents, to trade at $29.64 despite announcing a quarterly dividend of 12 cents per share. The dividend is payable on June 8, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 25, 2011. Rent-A-Car Center Inc. (Nasdaq: RCII) raised its quarterly dividend to 16 cents per share from its previous 6 cents a share. However, shares were down 1.22 percent, or 39 cents, to trade at $31.68. Dominion Resources, Inc. (NYSE: D) declared a quarterly dividend of 49.25 cents per share, payable on June 20, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 27, 2011. Shares were down 0.83 percent, or 40 cents, to trade at $47.75. Shares of CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) tumbled 9.84 percent, or $2.47, to trade at $22.59 although it declared a regular cash dividend of 5 cents per share.
