Seventh Portfolio Review - 'The Accelerated Dividend Portfolio'
Introduction The seventh update of the "Accelerated Dividend Portfolio" is the most exciting and active to date as there have been a number of changes that I want to share with you. As a reminder, the goal is to quickly build my portfolio with high-quality, high-yielding dividend companies and then reinvest those dividends, along with a percentage of my biweekly 401(K) contributions, to acquire less-risky, high-quality companies that currently pay a good dividend and have prospects for future dividend growth as well.
Current Portfolio Composition
People who have read my previous updates know that I'm an investor, not a trader. The only sale I've made to date was trimming some Apple (AAPL) shares to lock in some solid gains over a very short period of time.
Trades Since My Last Update New addition; established a full position of Cisco Systems (CSCO) in June at a total cost of $32.08 per share. New addition; established a full position of Kohl's Corporation (KSS) in August at a total cost of $37.31 per share. New addition; established a 1/3 position of PPL Corporation (PPL) with purchases in June and August at a total cost of $38.15 per share. Purchased additional shares of Ford Motor Company (F) in July. My total cost per share now stands at $12.65. Purchased additional shares of AT&T (T) in September and October. My total cost per share now stands at $37.20.
