Amid the positive movement of the US market following cease-fire in Libya, several companies declared their future dividend plans. Some notable dividend payers are discussed here. Cisco Systems Inc (Nasdaq: CSCO) added 2.03 percent or $0.34 to $17.34 as it declared its first quarterly dividend of 6 cents per share. The dividend is payable on April 30, 2011 to shareholders of record on March 31, 2011. Air Products & Chemicals Inc (NYSE: APD) announced a dividend of 58 cents, up from its previous dividend of 49 cents per share. APD gained 2.04 percent or $1.77 to $88.02. Acadia Realty Trust (NYSE: AKR) declared a cash dividend of 16 cents per share, payable on April 15, 2011 to shareholders of record on March 31, 2011. AKR added 1.56 percent or $0.29 to $18.93 after the news. General Motors Company (NYSE: GM) announced that its board of directors approved a dividend of 0.594 cent per share, payable on June 1, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 15, 2011. GM was up 0.64 percent or $0.20 to $31.64. Intel Corporation (Nasdaq: INTC) declared a quarterly dividend of 18.12 cents per share, payable on June 1, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 7, 2011. INTC gained 0.53 percent or $0.10 to $20. Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq; MSFT) announced a quarterly dividend of 16 cents per share, payable on June 9, 2011 to shareholders of record on May 17, 2011. MSFT added 1.25 percent or $0.31 to $25.08. Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) increased its regular quarterly cash dividend by five percent to $0.08625 per share. The dividend is payable on April 29, 2011 to shareholders of record on April 1, 2011. JAH gained 0.45 percent or $0.15 to $33.38. Terra Nova Royalty Corporation (NYSE: TTT) declared a dividend of 5 cents per common share, payable on April 11, 2011 to shareholders of record on March 31, 2011.
