Comcast Class A (Nasdaq: CMCSA) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.225 per share, or $0.9 annualized. This is a 15.4% increase from the prior dividend of $0.195. The dividend will be payable on April 23, 2014, to stockholders of record on April 2, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of March 31, 2014. The annual yield on the dividend is 1.7 percent. In addition, Comcast announced that its Board of Directors has increased its stock repurchase program authorization to $7.5 billion. Comcast plans to repurchase $3.0 billion during 2014, subject to market conditions.
Corrections Corp of America (NYSE: CXW) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.51 per share, or $2.04 annualized. The dividend will be payable on April 15, 2014, to stockholders of record on April 2, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of March 31, 2014. The annual yield on the dividend is 6.3 percent.
