DR Horton (DHI) Tops Q3 Loss Views by 1c, Declares Dividend

DR Horton (NYSE: DHI) reports Q3 loss of $0.03, 1 cents better than the consensus of ($0.04). Revenue for the quarter came in at $925.7 million, compared to the consensus of $850.86 million. Donald R. Horton, Chairman of the Board, said, “As we expected, market conditions in the homebuilding industry have been even more challenging after the expiration of the tax credit at the end of April. We will continue to focus on providing affordable homes, controlling our costs and contracting for new communities with attractively priced finished lots." The Company has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.0375 per share. The dividend is payable on December 8, 2010 to stockholders of record on November 24, 2010.
