Sizing Up Dividend Dog Indices, Lists, And Sectors

A total of twenty one Dogs of the Indices, Lists, and Sectors reported here on Seeking Alpha last year are summarized and ranked by risk below. Those reported indices started with seven collected in August: Russell 1000; S&P500: NYSE International 100; Nasdaq 100; Dow 30; Sectors 3x9; S&P 500 Aristocrats. Then one more was added: JPMorgan Sovereigns. These made eight reported from August through November. In December five more came on board: Carnevale Power 25; Dividend Champions; Dividend Contenders; Dividend Challengers; Dividend CCC Combined. Adding those made thirteen. Finally, top dogs in eight of nine sectors were detailed in December to bring the total to twenty-one: Basic Materials; Consumer Goods; Financials; Healthcare; Industrial Goods; Services; Technology; Utilities.
